·Discuss methods of creating Monoprints.

·Chose a suitable method to create a Monoprint.

· Teacher asks students to recall how to create stamps from the previous session.

·Teach places three dabs of different colour paint on their hand and stamp two pieces of papers.

·Students will identify the similarities and differences of both prints.

·Mono means one. Monoprints are one of a kind.

·  Teacher will begin to discuss Monoprints via PowerPoint presentation.

The PowerPoint will discuss the following types of Monoprints:-

oGhost printing

oDendritic Monoprinting

oCollage Printing

oTracing images (portraits, photos)

oWatercolour Monoprinting

oGelatin printmaking

·  Teacher will pause intermittently to ask questions and field questions from students.

·Students will listen to the presentation and ask questions about Monoprints.

·Students will create their Monoprint.

·Students will have a short quiz on Monoprints in Quizizz.

CLOSURE/ EXIT SLIP                                           TIME ALLOTTED: 2mins

Students will be directed to Padlet where they will be able to record their experience during the session.

EVALUATION

Evaluation via rubric made to assess their Monoprint and the Quizizz test.

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITY/LESSON:

Students will be directed to Google Jamboard where they will be able to record their experience during the session.

Evaluation via rubric made to assess their posters.

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITY/LESSON:’

Students will need to create a poster based on an Ole Mass character using the layout of their choice. They need to write a short paragraph explaining why they chose the layout and character.
