A rubric is used to give formative feedback and create a focus for teaching and learning by providing a guide to assessing measurable learning outcomes. The rubric also facilitates the engagement of the student in the learning process by reflection and self-assessment of their work. This is an analytic rubric designed to assess the students’ knowledge of art history specifically focusing on Art Movements. In addition to assessing students’ knowledge of art movements, it also assesses their graphic design skills. It specifically highlights staying on task, quality of information, design conceptualization, use of elements and principles, use of graphic elements and presentation as its focal points. When the presentation boards are collected, the teacher will evaluate and grade the work through deliberations guided by the rubric.
